Event Details

To celebrate the Latino Heritage Month in Pittsburgh, the Latin American Cultural Union (LACU) has created an annual music event called "Fusion". This event intends to bring to Pittsburgh the best musicians from Latin America that are at the forefront of a new fusion between contemporary music and folk music.

This year LACU presents the remarkable Venezuelan violinist Eddy Marcano and his Acoustic Quartet.

Along with Hector Molina (Cuatro) Gustavo Caruci (Guitar) and Layo Puentes (Bass), Mr. Marcano is on tour in the U.S. this fall, attending some of the most prestigious venues such as the National Museum of the American Indian Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, and a special appearance at the famous Carnegie Hall by the Americas Society in New York. On Wednesday, October 21st, he will close his tour in the USA here in Pittsburgh.

The event is co-sponsored by the Multicultural Arts Initiative Foundation.
